Creating a Microsoft SQL Server database
This article refers to domain names. When configuring your script or administration tool, replace all references to yourdomain.com with the domain you registered at signup.
To configure a new Microsoft SQL Server database on a Professional or Enterprise hosting plan, take the following steps:
- Log into Interkey.net's control panel at https://my.interkey.net using your registration number and password.
- Choose Settings from the menu at the top of the screen.
- Locate your hosting plan on this screen. The SQL Server database should be added to the plan of the website on which it will be used.
- Next to the SQL Server Databases heading, click Add.
- Choose your database name and the username and password you will use to access this database through your website scripts and any administration tools such as Enterprise Manager. Note that user and database names must be unique and cannot be used if another user is already using them.
- Click the Save button to save your changes. Please allow up to five minutes to allow the database and user login creation to complete.
- Your database can now be accessed at mssql.yourdomain.com.
