Brain Observe

Three autonomous modes. Continuous vigilance.

Brain doesn't sleep, go on vacation, or forget. Watchdog checks health every 5 minutes. Responder acts on events in real time. Optimizer learns daily. This is the recurring-revenue pillar of the product.

Autonomous Modes

Different cadences. Different jobs.

🐕

Watchdog

Every 5 minutes

Scans system health: driver status, tag staleness, alarm flooding, program deadlocks, resource leaks. Auto-creates tickets with full context. Slack / Teams / email notifications. Think of it as a dedicated maintenance engineer reviewing your cabinet 288 times a day.

What it checks

  • Driver communication status
  • Tag update frequency (detecting stuck values)
  • Alarm flood patterns
  • PLC program CPU cycles
  • Memory pressure on controller and Jetson
  • Disk I/O on historian
  • Network jitter on Modbus bus

Responder

Real-time events

Pre-approved rules execute instantly on alarm triggers, threshold breaches, or driver failures. Shut down a heater the moment it overshoots. Open a bypass valve when pressure spikes. Close the main breaker on ground fault. Operator approved once — Brain remembers forever.

Example rules

  • If temp_reactor > 95°C for 10s → set SSR_heater=0 AND alarm admin
  • If pump_1 current < 0.5A AND pump_1_state=RUN → mark fault, start backup pump
  • If network_jitter > 50ms for 30s → switch protocol to redundant path
📈

Optimizer

Daily

Analyzes 24 hours of historian data. Identifies PID tuning opportunities. Suggests setpoint adjustments based on actual vs target behavior. Generates efficiency reports. Detects drift before it becomes a problem.

Examples

  • PID_temp_zone_1 overshoots 8% on startup — recommend Kp reduction
  • Compressor runs 14% more than needed — reduce setpoint from 8 to 7 bar
  • Night shift uses 31% more energy than day — schedule unused zones down

Approve & Remember

Your operators teach Brain what's normal. Brain remembers forever.

Day one: Brain asks before every Tier-3 control action. Day thirty: 20+ rules run autonomously. The more your operators approve, the more Brain handles without prompting. This is how industrial AI actually scales.

Week 1

01

Operator approves 5 times per day

Brain asks before every Tier-3 control action.

Week 4

02

2 times per day

Rules accumulate. Brain handles routine patterns autonomously.

Month 3

03

Autonomous on routine operations

20+ pre-approved rules in play. Operators focus on exceptions.
